Which Palm Pro voltage should I choose?

CCELL describes the three steps this way: 2.8V for maximum flavour, 3.2V as the balanced setting and 3.6V for maximum vapour. Take those as starting points, because every oil and every cartridge responds differently. Our advice for filling teams is simple. Begin at 2.8V, move up one step at a time, and note the point where the oil starts to taste harsh or the cartridge begins to wet the mouthpiece. Thicker extracts usually need a little more heat, which is why a preheat helps; our oil types page covers viscosity by format. Airflow interacts with voltage. A narrower collar setting makes the draw firmer and can feel stronger at the same voltage, so change one variable at a time and write down the result. That habit saves a lot of repeat testing when you move from prototype to production.

How do I use the Palm Pro?

  1. Fit a magnetic cartridge nut to your 510 cartridge, then drop the cartridge into the magnetic connection.
  2. Select your voltage on the battery: 2.8V, 3.2V or 3.6V.
  3. Turn the airflow collar to fully open, halfway or narrowly open to set the draw resistance.
  4. Press the button twice for the 10-second preheat when the oil is thick or cold.
  5. Draw on the mouthpiece. The battery is inhale activated, so no button is needed for a normal draw.
  6. Check the 3-bar LED for charge level and recharge over Type-C.

Palm Pro charging, leaks and troubleshooting

  • Battery will not fire: check the cartridge is seated on the magnet and the nut is clean. Wipe the contact with a dry, lint-free cloth.
  • Will not charge: oil on the 510 contact can short the pin, so remove the cartridge and wipe the contact before blaming the cell.
  • Charging: use a known 5V Type-C source, stop at full and avoid leaving it on charge overnight. Stop if the battery feels hot. See our charging guide.
  • Cartridge leaking at the base: use a lower voltage step and open the airflow slightly, then retest with a fresh cartridge.
  • Preheat seems to do nothing: two presses must be quick and distinct. If the cartridge is empty or poorly seated, the preheat cannot help, so check the fill level and the magnet seating first.

Is the CCELL Palm Pro compatible with my 510 cartridge?
Yes, if the cartridge has a standard 510 thread. The Palm Pro takes them through a drop-in magnetic connection once a magnetic cartridge nut is fitted. The maximum cartridge width is 11mm, so wider formats such as a 2ml Vita at 14.1mm will not fit.
What voltage should I use on the Palm Pro?
Start at 2.8V and work upwards. CCELL describes 2.8V as maximum flavour, 3.2V as balanced and 3.6V as maximum vapour. Thicker oils generally need more heat than thin ones, so test a small batch at each step and choose the lowest setting that gives a smooth, consistent draw.
How do I preheat the CCELL Palm Pro?
Press the button twice in quick succession. This starts a 10-second preheat that warms the oil before your first draw. It is useful for thick or cold oil. After the preheat, draw on the mouthpiece as normal, because the battery is inhale activated and needs no button for regular use.
What does the Palm Pro airflow collar do?
