What is the CCELL Dart-X?

The Dart-X is the follow-up to the Dart, which CCELL describes as its first pod system. It keeps the same idea, a slim metal battery that a pod clicks onto by magnet, and adds the features customers asked for: three temperature settings, a child-resistant lock and a motion-triggered LED that lights up when you pick the device up. The battery grows to 480mAh.

The housing is full metal with a soft-touch finish, so it feels smoother than a bare metal tube and resists fingerprints better. It is a pod battery, not a 510 battery, which means it takes Dart pods rather than threaded cartridges. If you want a 510 option, see our 510 batteries.

At 11.9mm deep it is a slim device that slips into a pocket without a bulge, and the 480mAh cell is the largest of the pod batteries we list. That combination of slim body and generous capacity is the reason many brands treat the Dart-X as the flagship of their pod range.

Who is the Dart-X for?

  • Brands already selling Dart pods. The Dart-X accepts first-generation Dart pods, so existing customers can upgrade the battery without changing their pods.
  • Retailers who want a safety talking point. The child-resistant lock is a clear feature to mention at the counter.
  • Producers wanting a premium pod kit in Green, Purple or White, with customisation available.
  • Not ideal for anyone with a 510 cartridge range or Luster or Eazie pods, which use different formats.

Which pods fit the Dart-X?

Dart-X pods and first-generation Dart pods, in 0.5ml and 1.0ml, connect to the Dart-X by magnet. The Dart Series Pod page lists the Dart and Dart-X as compatible. Pods from other CCELL pod systems do not fit.

PodSizesFits the Dart-X?
CCELL Dart Series Pod0.5ml / 1.0mlYes, fits Dart and Dart-X
Dart (1st gen) pods0.5ml / 1.0mlYes
CCELL Luster Pro Pod0.5ml / 1mlNo, different magnetic pod
CCELL Eazie Pod0.5 / 1.0 / 2mlNo, different pod and battery

What do the three Dart-X temperature settings and constant power do?

The three temperature settings let a user step between gentler and hotter output. Constant power output means the chosen level is held steadier as the battery drains, which keeps the draw consistent from full charge to low.

In practice, begin on the lowest setting with a new oil and move up only if the pod seems to under-heat. Thicker oils need more heat than thin ones. Our Luster Pro versus Dart-X comparison explains where each pod system fits.

How do I use the Dart-X?

  1. Press a filled Dart or Dart-X pod onto the magnetic connection at the top of the battery.
  2. Pick up the device; the motion-triggered LED lights to show it is ready.
  3. Select one of the three temperature settings as set out in the supplied instructions.
  4. Draw on the pod mouthpiece with the child-resistant lock released.
  5. Recharge over Type-C when low, and engage the lock when storing.

Dart-X care, charging and troubleshooting

  • Battery will not fire: check the child-resistant lock is released and the pod sits flat on the magnet.
  • Leaking pod: remove it, wipe the magnetic contacts dry and avoid overfilling.
  • LED does not light on pickup: it is motion-triggered, so a battery that is flat will stay dark. Charge and retry.
  • Charging: use a known 5V Type-C source, disconnect at full and avoid overnight charging; see our charging guide.

How should I plan a Dart-X order?

Decide the pods first. If you already sell Dart pods, order Dart-X batteries to refresh the hardware. If you are new to Dart, order pods and batteries together so that quantities match. Colours are Green, Purple and White, and customisation is available, so decide whether you want one hero colour or a range.

The lock is the feature your customers will ask about, so write a short instruction card. Cover how to release the lock, how to choose a temperature setting and how to charge. Clear instructions reduce returns and give you a reason to include a card in every box. It also gives your brand a place to print support contact details and a reminder that the device is for adults only.

Frequently Asked Questions

Contact our team WhatsApp us
Is the CCELL Dart-X compatible with 510 cartridges?
No. The Dart-X is a pod battery with a magnetic connection. It works with Dart-X pods and first-generation Dart pods in 0.5ml and 1.0ml. It does not accept standard 510 thread cartridges. For 510 cartridges, choose a 510 battery such as the Palm Pro.
Does the Dart-X work with first-generation Dart pods?
Yes. CCELL states that the Dart-X is compatible with first-generation Dart pods in 0.5ml and 1.0ml, as well as Dart-X pods. The Dart Series Pod page also lists both batteries as compatible. Existing Dart customers can therefore upgrade their battery and keep their pods.
What are the Dart-X temperature settings?
The Dart-X has three temperature settings and constant power output. Start on the lowest setting with a new oil and step up only if needed. Follow the instructions supplied with your batch.
What does the Dart-X child-resistant lock do?
It helps prevent accidental firing and use by children, and CCELL describes it as child-resistant. We do not claim a formal certification. Engage the lock when storing the device and keep the battery and pods out of reach of children. Follow the supplied instructions for releasing it.
What is the motion-triggered LED?
It is an LED indicator that lights when the device is moved, such as when you pick it up, rather than staying on all the time. It shows the battery is awake and ready. If the battery is flat the LED will not light, so charge it and try again.
How do I charge the Dart-X?
Charge it with a Type-C cable from a known 5V source. Disconnect when it is full, avoid leaving it on charge overnight and stop if it becomes hot. If it will not charge, clean the magnetic contacts, because oil from a leaking pod can interfere.
What colours does the Dart-X come in?
The Dart-X is offered in Green, Purple and White, with a full metal soft-touch housing. Customisation is available. Tell the trade team your preferred colour mix and any branding you want, and we will confirm options and lead times before you place an order.
How much is the Dart-X wholesale in the UK?
Tiered trade pricing is quoted on request, ex VAT, with lower unit prices at higher volumes. If it shows as out of stock, enquire about the next delivery. Contact the trade team with your quantities and colour mix for a confirmed quote.
Do you deliver the Dart-X across the UK?
Yes. We deliver across the UK to trade and retail customers, and any free-shipping threshold is shown at checkout. For delivery outside the UK, contact the trade team before ordering so we can confirm availability, carriers and timings for your destination.
Is the Dart-X authentic CCELL hardware?
Yes. We are an authorised UK distributor of authentic CCELL hardware, operated by 3Devices Ltd. The Dart-X is supplied without pods or oil, and CCELL does not fill or sell oil. It is intended for CBD use only and is not for minors.
