Ask AI about this guide

The CCELL M4B Pro is a 290mAh stainless steel 510 battery with three voltage steps (2.8V, 3.2V and 3.6V), a ten-second preheat and a child-resistant power lock, and it is the control-heavy member of a six-battery group. The M4 has a fixed 3.6V output, the M4 Tiny is a compact 14mm battery, the two Crystalline Editions add coloured finishes, and the Go Stik adds a two-position slide switch with a body designed for cartridges of any size. The comparison below sticks to what each listing’s specification and option menus state, so a brand can match a battery to the cartridge it sells.

Key takeaways

  • Only the M4B Pro and its Crystalline Edition have on-device voltage steps, preheat and a power lock.
  • The M4 has a fixed 3.6V output and the M4 Tiny has no on-device voltage steps. Users cannot change either.
  • The M4 Tiny is 14mm wide at 200mAh and is listed to fit CCELL 3.0 cartridges. The Go Stik is listed for 510 cartridges of any size.
  • All six are inhale activated, use a standard 510 thread and charge over USB-C. Cartridges are not included.

Six CCELL 510 batteries compared

The six listings split into three groups: stepped control (M4B Pro), no on-device steps (M4 and M4 Tiny) and a two-position switch (Go Stik). The first table gives capacity and size.

Listing Capacity Dimensions

CCELL M4B Pro: three steps, preheat and a power lock

The M4B Pro with three voltage steps, preheat and a power lock fits its controls into a 10.5mm diameter. Three steps give a brand room to validate a recommendation for each cartridge and oil, and the 10-second preheat is there for thick or cold fills that benefit from warming before the first draw.

The spec sheet lists the child-resistant power lock under Safety. CCELL describes it that way, and we do not claim a formal child-safety certification for it. Treat it as one part of the design, because packaging and labelling choices sit alongside it.

Who the M4B Pro suits

  • Brands selling more than one cartridge resistance, where one fixed output would not suit every SKU.
  • Ranges that include oils your team prefers to preheat.
  • Programmes that want a power lock on the battery as well as on the packaging.

It is the longest of the M4 batteries, so it sits well against tall cartridges. A small cell and a long preheat followed by a long draw will use charge quickly, so keep preheat for the oils that need it.

M4B Pro Crystalline Edition: same electronics, new finish

The M4B Pro Crystalline Edition repeats the M4B Pro specification: 290mAh, 10.5 x 90.75 mm, three voltage steps, preheat, power lock, LED indicator and stainless steel housing. What changes is a crystalline finish in Blue, Purple or Green.

Because the two listings are electrically identical, a brand can validate settings once and offer the Crystalline Edition as a second colour tier without repeating the voltage work. Our news piece on the Crystalline Edition batteries covers the finishes in more detail.

CCELL M4: one fixed 3.6V output

For a single fixed output, the 290mAh M4 at 3.6V is shorter than the M4B Pro at 10.5 x 76.35 mm, with the same capacity and stainless steel housing. Instead of on-device steps, it has one fixed 3.6V output that the user cannot change.

A fixed 3.6V output heats harder than the lower steps on the M4B Pro, so run a small trial with your oil, compare taste, leak behaviour and how quickly the cartridge empties, then stay consistent. Thin oils or cartridges that tend to leak at higher heat may suit a stepped battery better.

CCELL M4 Tiny and its Crystalline Edition: 14mm and 200mAh

The CCELL M4 Tiny 14mm battery is 14 x 52 mm with 200mAh, less than the 290mAh of the M4 and M4B Pro. The listing states that the 14mm diameter fits CCELL 3.0 cartridges and other 510 thread cartridges.

The M4 Tiny Crystalline Edition keeps the 200mAh capacity, 14 x 52 mm size, housing, LED indicator and compatibility note. It is ordered by finish in Blue, Green or Purple, so an order line is the colour and the quantity.

Matching the M4 Tiny to CCELL 3.0 cartridges

Some CCELL 3.0 cartridges are wider than the 10.5mm of a classic glass tank. The table uses diameters from the cartridge pages, and a test fit is sensible before you commit to a pack-out.

Cartridge Listed diameter Advice
CCELL Vita 1ml 10.5mm Narrower than the 14mm body
CCELL Vita 2ml 14.1mm Test the look and fit first
CCELL Diama Up to 14.8mm Confirm the fit before ordering

Our guide to postless CCELL 3.0 cartridges covers the cartridges themselves.

CCELL Go Stik: slide switch and any-size cartridges

With a slide switch for two temperature settings, the Go Stik is published with height, width and depth rather than one diameter: 91.5H x 20W x 15.2D mm. It holds 280mAh, and the switch selects 2.8V or 3.2V. It has no 3.6V position, so very thick oils that need maximum heat may suit a three-step battery better.

CCELL Go Stik 510 battery with a patterned wrap and a cartridge fitted

Two further lines are specific to the Go Stik:

  • Body. An ergonomic, anti-slip design with a matte finish.
  • Cartridge fit. Listed as compatible with 510 cartridges of any size.

It is also listed as available for customisation. Because it has two modes and no display, staff training takes seconds, which is why it often suits a battery packed into a kit with a filled cartridge. Even so, test-fit any new cartridge format before a full run.

Choosing between the six

Start with the cartridge your brand sells, then the controls you want the end customer to have.

  1. Do you need on-device voltage steps? Three steps with preheat point to the M4B Pro or its Crystalline Edition. Two steps on a slide switch point to the Go Stik. A single fixed output points to the M4 or M4 Tiny.
  2. How wide is the cartridge? For CCELL 3.0 cartridges, the M4 Tiny listings state compatibility. For larger cartridges generally, the Go Stik states it fits any size.
  3. Is capacity a factor? The M4 Tiny is 200mAh, against 290mAh for the M4 and M4B Pro and 280mAh for the Go Stik.
  4. Do you want a power lock? Only the two M4B Pro listings list one.
  5. Which finish? Standard colours or the Crystalline Edition colourways.

Cartridge fit and voltage recommendations

The 10.5mm batteries sit flush with 10.5mm cartridges, while wider cartridges overhang the body. The battery pages name these pairings.

Cartridge Diameter Fit on the 10.5mm M4 and M4B Pro
CCELL TH2-SE 10.5mm Flush with the body
CCELL M6T-SE 10.5mm Flush with the body
CCELL TH2 EVOMAX 10.5mm Named on the M4B Pro page, flush
CCELL Vita 2ml 14.1mm Overhangs the body

A wide cartridge on a slim pen still fits on the thread, so the issue is the look of the assembly rather than function. If your range includes 14mm-class cartridges, the M4 Tiny listings are the better match. The cartridge and battery compatibility guide explains how thread, width and connection combine.

Who the plain M4 suits

The CCELL M4 battery has no display, magnet or adjustable steps, and that simplicity is the point. It suits brands that want a slim, neutral battery in Black, Silver or White to match cartridge packaging, and producers who set their own voltage because they validated their oil at one fixed level. It is not the right pick for anyone who wants adjustable voltage, preheat or a display, which is where the M4B Pro or a display battery fits better.

A battery recommendation only holds for the cartridge and oil it was validated with. When cartridge resistance changes, or a distillate gives way to a high-terpene oil, repeat the check. Our guide to voltage settings by oil type and the blog on terpenes and hardware temperature explain why lower steps are a sensible first test for terpene-rich oils.

Charging, indicators and troubleshooting

All six charge over USB-C and show status through an LED function indicator or, on the Go Stik, a simple two-position switch. If a unit will not charge, work through the battery not charging guide, and use the LED blinking pattern guide to read indicator behaviour. Safe charging habits are in our 510 battery charger guide.

Planning battery orders and branding

A battery is bought once and used with many cartridges, so battery and cartridge volumes rarely match one-for-one.

  • Estimate how many cartridges each end customer buys per battery, then size the battery order from that ratio.
  • Hold a small reserve of each colour, so the colour that sells first can be restocked without delay.
  • Treat each Crystalline Edition as a separate SKU in forecasts, even though the electronics match the standard model.
  • Keep M4 and M4 Tiny stock on separate lines, because their capacity and size differ.

A battery stays with the end customer far longer than a cartridge, so it is a natural place for a brand mark. Our guide on laser engraving and private label hardware covers marking and packaging together. Put these on the purchase order:

  • Model name, including Crystalline Edition where it applies.
  • Colour exactly as listed, with quantity split by colour.
  • Any engraving artwork.

All six sit in the CCELL 510 battery category. We supply them without cartridges to licensed UK businesses, and the buyer is responsible for how the finished product is approved and sold. Tell us which cartridges you sell and the colours you prefer through our battery quote request form.

FAQ

Does the M4B Pro have preheat?

Yes. The M4B Pro spec lists a 10-second preheat, plus 2.8V, 3.2V and 3.6V settings and a child-resistant power lock. The M4, M4 Tiny and Go Stik do not list preheat, so choose the M4B Pro or its Crystalline Edition if preheat matters to your oil.

What is the difference between M4 and M4 Tiny?

The M4 is 10.5 x 76.35 mm with 290mAh. The M4 Tiny is 14 x 52 mm with 200mAh and states compatibility with CCELL 3.0 cartridges. Both have no on-device voltage steps and both use a standard 510 thread.

Are the Crystalline Editions different inside?

No. The M4B Pro Crystalline Edition lists the same specification as the M4B Pro. The M4 Tiny Crystalline Edition lists the same capacity, size, housing and CCELL 3.0 compatibility note as the M4 Tiny. The difference is a crystalline finish in Blue, Green or Purple.

What voltages does the Go Stik have?

The Go Stik offers 2.8V and 3.2V, selected with a slide switch. It has no 3.6V position and no preheat. That keeps it simple to explain, but a very thick oil that needs maximum heat may suit the three-step CCELL M4B Pro battery better.

Which of these batteries fit larger cartridges?

The Go Stik is listed as compatible with 510 cartridges of any size, and the M4 Tiny listings note that the 14mm body fits CCELL 3.0 cartridges. Even so, test-fit a new cartridge format, particularly the Diama, which lists diameters up to 14.8mm, before a full pack-out.
